SHADES

SHADES

Window Fashions Showroom offers a wide selection of premium window shades. Unlike blinds, window shades are usually made from a single piece of material which can be adjusted up and down, making them ideal for smaller windows. Shades can be made from fabric, woven wood, or paper, and the possibilities for color and texture combinations is practically endless. Shades are also available in different weights, ranging from heavy blackout materials to sheer, light-filtering shades. Some models can even be motorized for your convenience.

Three of the most common styles of shades are roman shades, roller shades, pleated shades and honeycomb shades.

Roman

Roman shades are usually made of fabric or natural woven materials such as bamboo. When opened, the shades fold up to allow plenty of light into a room. When closed, they not only limit light, but can also help insulate your home. Roman shades offer a beautiful, classic look for any space.

Roller

Roller shades are ideal for large windows, and can be used in indoor or outdoor settings. When opened, roller shades are neatly contained on a reel mounted above the window frame and can easily be lowered by way of a cord or handle. They can be made from a variety of materials such as bamboo or fabric.

Pleated

Pleated shades are made from a thin sheet of fabric or paper and folded horizontally. These accordion style folds give them a similar look to blinds. They are available in hundred of colors and patterns. They are ideal for spaces like living rooms or sun rooms where you want to let in large amounts of light.

Honeycomb

Cellular shades, also known as honeycomb shades, are made of two layers of fabric with a pocket of space in the middle. These insulating double layers help regulate the temperature in your home or business, making them highly energy efficient, and saving you money on your electricity bills. Like other types of shades, they are customizable in material, color, and style.
